Part 2 model answer
I would like to talk about a time when I helped one of my close friends with his studies. It happened a few months ago when we were preparing for an important examination.
My friend was struggling with some difficult topics, especially because he could not understand a few important concepts. He was quite worried about his performance, so I decided to give him a hand.
One evening, we met at his house and studied together for a couple of hours. I explained the difficult topics in simple language and gave him some practical examples to make everything easier to understand. I also helped him create a study routine so that he could manage his time more effectively.
At first, he found the topics confusing, but gradually he became more confident. I was really happy to see that he could understand the lessons much better than before.
What made this experience special was that I did not expect anything in return. I simply wanted to support my friend when he needed help. It also reminded me that even a small act of kindness can make a big difference in someone's life.
Overall, I felt proud and satisfied because I was able to make someone's life a little easier. I believe that helping others not only strengthens relationships but also gives us a sense of happiness and fulfilment.
Part 3 discussion
1. Why is it important to help other people?
I think helping others is important because it creates a sense of trust and cooperation in society. When people support one another, they can overcome difficulties more easily. Moreover, helping others can make us feel happier and more satisfied with our lives.
2. Do you think children should be taught to help others?
Yes, absolutely. Children should learn the value of kindness and cooperation from an early age. For example, parents can encourage them to share their toys or help their classmates. These small activities can help children develop empathy and responsibility.
3. Do people help others more now than in the past?
I think it depends on the situation. Nowadays, technology makes it easier to help people through online donations and fundraising. However, people are also busy with their personal and professional lives, so they may have less time to help others face-to-face.
4. What kinds of people need help the most?
In my opinion, elderly people, people with disabilities and low-income families often need additional support. For example, elderly people may need assistance with daily activities, while disadvantaged students may need financial support to continue their education.
5. Is it better to help people with money or with time?
I believe both are valuable, depending on the situation. Financial assistance can help people meet their basic needs, whereas spending time with someone can provide emotional support. For instance, teaching a student for free can sometimes be just as valuable as giving them money.
