Part 2 model answer
I would like to describe one of my friends who follows a healthy lifestyle and maintains a well-organised daily routine.
I have known him for several years, and one thing I admire about him is his self-discipline. Unlike many people who struggle to maintain a routine, he tries to follow a consistent schedule every day.
He usually wakes up early in the morning and starts his day with some light exercise. After that, he eats a balanced breakfast and prepares for his daily activities. He also tries to avoid eating too much junk food and drinks plenty of water throughout the day.
Another thing I appreciate is that he understands the importance of getting enough sleep. He generally goes to bed at a reasonable time instead of staying awake late at night using his phone. Whenever he feels stressed, he takes a short break or goes for a walk to refresh his mind.
I think these habits are beneficial because they help him maintain both his physical and mental well-being. He also seems more energetic and focused than people who have an irregular lifestyle.
What I have learned from him is that staying healthy does not necessarily require expensive equipment or a complicated routine. Small habits, when practised consistently, can make a real difference.
Overall, I admire his lifestyle, and he has inspired me to become more disciplined and take better care of my health.
Part 3 discussion
1. What can people do to stay healthy?
People can stay healthy by exercising regularly, eating a balanced diet and getting enough sleep. They should also manage stress and avoid harmful habits. In my opinion, consistency is the key to maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
2. Why do some people find it difficult to maintain healthy habits?
One major reason is that people often have busy schedules and struggle to manage their time. Others may lack motivation or choose convenient options such as fast food. I think starting with small, realistic goals can make healthy habits easier to maintain.
3. Should schools teach children about healthy lifestyles?
Yes, definitely. Schools can teach children about nutrition, physical activity and personal hygiene. They can also organise sports and outdoor activities. These lessons may help children develop healthy habits that continue into adulthood.
4. Do people in cities have healthier lifestyles than people in the countryside?
Not necessarily. City residents may have better access to gyms and healthcare facilities, but they often experience traffic congestion and work-related stress. People in rural areas may have more opportunities for outdoor activities, although access to healthcare can sometimes be limited.
5. How has modern technology affected people's health?
Technology has both positive and negative effects. Fitness apps and smartwatches can encourage people to exercise and monitor their activity. However, excessive screen time and sitting for long periods can contribute to an inactive lifestyle. The key is to use technology wisely.
